*hugs* We lost a dog last year too. We had him for 11 years. We have also had to get our old cat put to sleep,that we have had for even longer. I know it hurts but you are doing the right thing and you gave her the best life she could have.

I know that some people do not think it is a good idea to go with the pet for that last trip to the vet, but it really helped us to be able to hold our cat while he passed.
