There must be a better place, where they run together and chew on anything they wish, and get warm food and a cozy place to sleep. I know how it hurts. Every time I read about a dog having to be put to sleep I cry for my Colli. He was my baby, and I wasn't there when my children took him to the vet for the same reason. They wanted to spare him the pain, but I'd have liked to kiss him and hold his paw.
